FINALLY!! Now we don't have to scare anyone off by forcing them to watch the endless 8 or sigh arcs! Now we can just tell them to watch episodes 1, 2, 3, and 9 and let them drop it or just summarize those episodes and tell them to avoid this dreck!

How do you feel about this change? Share your thoughts below lest someone resets this whole shindig. Hopefully they keep it this way.

not 100% that tho

if you go in the first Haruhi suzumiya page yeah, it says that its a side story but if you're in the 2009 page it still says that the other serie and the movie are prequel/sequel
anyway, at the moment im typing this
pretty sure its going to change tho

its even more confusing
They should fix that part. Similar thing happened with Turn A Gundam, Victory calling it a sequel but it called Gundam a parent story.

Such a reaction reminds me of the people claiming everywhere to new watchers that they shouldn't watch the last two episodes of Evangelion and go immediately on the movie.

Why is the Sigh supposed to be so bad? The anime made it shorter than the novel and in both, the slow invasion of "reality hacking" made it interessant. Plus, if I remember it right, it has the scene where Haruhi reveals the ugly little teenager she really is.
Not even talking about how horrible and useless the video episode (first series, first episode) is if it ends up alone.

About Victory and Turn A Gundam, it has been months since I try to report a needed change in the prequel/sequel order (they have Turn A, G-Reco and Victory in reversed positions). It shows how slow the database is. (but it is probably normal, seeing how many titles they manage)

Heh. Maybe. Never never actually heard that before.

Sigh is bad because it shows Haruhi at her most unlikeable, and has a major plothole involving Haruhi's emotions and the psychic realm or however that's called.

Interesting to note. Then again, almost nobody likes G-Reco.

Along with other atrocities, which are innumerable.

@CodeBlazeFate I see. But I doubt the eponymous character is mandated only to be likable. This was the most interesting moment during the filming.

About Gundam, I was reacting the written example, it has nothing to do with the worth or reputation of any series. ^^"

True, but she is so horrible here, especially by her standards as just simply an annoyance for the MC. Plus, there's still the plot hole surrounding the aftermath of that moment.

Oh, ok.

Do you mind expliciting it?

Season 1 stated that whenever Haruhi is upset, monsters spawn in thet osychic rralm to attack it. However, this time, nothing happens, and given how upset she was after Kyon reprimanded her for making Mikuru drunk for the movie, this makes no sense.

@CodeBlazeFate Wasn't it said in the animation too (by Mr.ESPer) that the light giants being apathetic was particularly weird because it was never seen before by his organization and that it probably because there was something more than simple anger behind it? (have only the books at hand)
(by the way, those rules you are mentionning are only "observations", they're rules only if you decide that the ESPers know everything there is to know about this and are the ones who are right, since every faction has his own theories/observations).

I don't THINK so. Dunno, maybe I forgot. Either way, it was the only established theory the anime we could go off of, so I can only count it as such even taking that flimsy excuse into account.
