Thanks for making these tutorials. I've started to make physical copies of my own work and wanted to make a cover for my own tape. Doing a little art project for myself has never been so much fun.
@@ACrafterinTraining thank you for 6our kind reply. Yes it has been something that I have thought about for quite some time. And now I just about have everything I need to do it. Kind regards. Paul.
Oh. My. Gods. This was SO helpful! And you are adorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The insert less cassettes my collection that I've been picking up in charity shops also thank you.
Really cool man! I am trying to put my music on cassettes to make my own beat tapes, this was very helpful! I was wondering though, what kind of printer are you using to print out the templates? Thanks again.
You make it look so easy. I have zero creative talent, but I'm inspired to give it a go. Swapping Photoshoot for GIMP though, if that will work similarly. Cheers!
I actually started by using paint as my editing software. It took a lot of trial and error to get to where I am today. It takes patience, but you will get better with each project. Yes, GIMP works similar, so it should be easy to use that instead of photoshop.
Gonna turn my Spotify playlists into cassette tapes after watching this. I split one of them into two 45 minute playlists for each side of the cassette
For this video I used regular computer paper printer with laser, that's why it looks like that, and glued it with spray adhesive. I would, however, recommend using shiny sticker paper, as that would give you the best results.
Honestly, I do not use my home printer, as the quality I seek, most of the time is not delivered by them. I had a friend who had an epson printer and it would print nice enough, but I do not remember the model.
This is the best youtube channel that i have seen related with handcrafting. Your handcraft are awesome. I have been looking for some way to do the cassettes arts by myself but i have not could do it so far. I have not PS software and i wonder if i can use your templates in my Macbook using Keynote or another easier application since i have not designs skill. Thank you again for this channel and now you have another follower.
Great video and templates! Only I've never used photoshop. How to I import photos to my template and fit them to the sections? Sorry if it's an amateur question but I've never used PS and can't see how you do it!
I've been told multiple times that photoshop files are not compatible with other programs, so I am working on making them accesible for everybody. As soon as I find a decent solutions I will make a video about it.
Hey, I've designed my cover but when I copy it to the a4 template, it is huge and not the correct measurements. Any idea why? I'm saving it as a .png and then dragging the file onto the a4 template. Thanks!
It does happen sometimes, depending on which type of file you decide to save your image as. I'd recommend you to resize the cassette file to the correct size, I believe I provided the measurements for the height of the file. If you resize the height, the width will adjust automatically.
Rolyat Tfiws it’s regular computer paper, bond paper, however, it’s laser printing, that’s what gives the shiny finish. You can also try to use lightweight photo paper with ink jet printers. Hope it helps! 😁
For this tutorial I am using regular computer paper, known as bond paper, 90-100 grams, with laser toner, which gives better results than with ink jet printers.
Hola alguien sabe como puedo borrarle las letras impresas sobre los cassette tape en donde aparece la marca sin dañar lo can solemne let me Know How can i borrow the label and details on the cassete tape without dámage it its becsuse i already try it With nails polishh and it doesnt Work
Yo uso acetona diluida con agua, pero hay veces que daña el plastico dependiendo del plastico del cassette. Tambien puedes usar un cotonete y alcohol etilico y tallarle hasta que empiece a salir.
I take my files to printer center. They have told me they use an epson printer, but did not provided the model for it.I printed on regular computer paper, also known as bond paper, with a laser printer, which gives it its shine.
Incredible! I need to see if I can make the cover arts "rectangular" with Photoshop, most of the ones I have are "squared" as the CD if you know what I mean. I need to practice Photoshop, do you think it's easy?
Love the video! It helped me a ton! What do you use to bond the label on the cassette itself? Everywhere I read says sandpaper the cassette and spray adhesive on the label.
I have used spray adhesive to various sucess levels. It mainly depends on the brand of the adhesive. I've also used a glue stick; there are stronger glue sticks than school glue. The best way to go is print on sticker paper. Glad you liked the video!
@@ACrafterinTrainingDoes that fit 5-panel artwork in a slim cassette case? and how much GSM paper do you use? I mean the thickness. Thanks! Big fan of your work!
this is really helpful!! How do you get different variation of color for the tapes? Can I remove the tape from the plastic shell and paint them myself?
I don't think that's possible. The paint might come off onto your player, if you plan on playing them. I find mine at thrift stores and re record on top of them
Hey there. What program do you recommend for me to download which will help me make all of these different audio cassette & jewel case labels? Thank you! :)
